Key Responsibilities
- The Gaming Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of a casino, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and providing a safe, secure and enjoyable environment for customers.
- They must ensure all gaming activities are conducted in a fair, honest and transparent manner and that all employees are trained and adhere to codes of conduct.
- The Gaming Manager is also responsible for ensuring the casino is profitable and for developing strategies to maximize revenue.
- This includes managing the staff, ensuring all gaming activities adhere to legal and regulatory standards, and maximising profits for the casino.
- They must ensure that all staff are properly trained in gaming and customer service, and that all equipment is properly maintained and up to date.
- The Gaming Manager must also oversee customer service, financial and marketing operations, and maintain positive relationships with both customers and vendors.
- They must be able to lead a team, make effective decisions, and be knowledgeable about industry trends and best practices.
- The Gaming Manager will also be involved in the budgeting and forecasting of the casino’s finances.
Requirements
- Matric or higher
- Specialist in Gaming
- At least 10 years’ experience at a leadership level within an established Gaming Operation of which 5 years should be as Gaming Manager
- Proven skills in Marketing and Promotions
- Knowledge and understanding of the interpretation regarding all Gaming related reports
- Experience in Statistical analysis, including machine mix
- Sound Financial management and budget control skills
- Highly numerate – has a thorough understanding of the statistical principals of gaming and gaming-related accounting practices
- Demonstrated abilities to maintain excellent physical standards and service levels
- Strong strategic and customer service focus
- Team player with high energy levels and assertive
- Prepared to work irregular hours as per business requirements
- Computer literacy at least in MS Word, MS Excel
- Business and financial acumen with strong management ability
- Preferably attended an Executive Management Development Program
- Training people development skills and IR experience
- Able to work under pressure
- Technical expertise required (e.g., game design, software development, platform management).
- Leadership experience in gaming projects.
- Knowledge of local and global gaming markets and trends.
