FLOOR & PRE-DISPATCH SUPERVISOR

Most employers look for a Grade 12 certificate plus a diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management, or warehousing. A valid forklift license and experience with warehouse management systems are often strong advantages.

You would coordinate warehouse floor staff, monitor picking and packing accuracy, and ensure orders are staged correctly for dispatch. The role also involves checking stock quality, resolving delays, and communicating with drivers or transport coordinators before vehicles leave.

Namibian logistics workplaces generally value punctuality, clear communication, and a hands-on leadership style rather than only giving instructions from an office. Supervisors are expected to respect diverse language backgrounds and often work extended hours during peak dispatch periods.

With proven performance, you can progress to roles such as Warehouse Manager, Dispatch Manager, or Logistics Operations Coordinator. Further studies in supply chain management or transport logistics can support movement into regional or head-office planning positions.
