Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repairs and servicing of production machinery and equipment
- Identify and repair mechanical faults and breakdowns
- Install, dismantle and assemble machinery and mechanical components
- Conduct preventative and planned maintenance
- Inspect machinery and identify potential mechanical problems
- Assist with machinery installations, modifications and improvements
- Ensure equipment is maintained in a safe and reliable operating condition
- Minimize machinery downtime by responding efficiently to breakdowns
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
- Comply with all company Health & Safety procedures and regulations
- Work closely with the production and maintenance teams
- Perform any other reasonable duties related to the position
Requirements
- Grade 12/ Senior Secondary Certificate
- Recognized Fitter Trade Certificate
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing, industrial or mining environment
- Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment
- Experience in preventative and planned maintenance
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Health & Safety certification/experience will be an advantage
- Ability to work at heights
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and standby when required
- Reliable and responsible
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to work under pressure
- Physically fit and able to work in an industrial environment
- Must be a Namibian citizen
