The Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) serves as the dedicated Financial Intelligence Unit of the Government of the Republic of Namibia. It is statutorily mandated to assist with combating financial crimes, including money laundering and terrorist financing, within Namibia's borders. The FIC plays a crucial role in safeguarding the integrity of Namibia's financial system by diligently receiving, analysing, and disseminating vital financial intelligence. Its operations are instrumental in identifying suspicious financial activities and providing essential information to law enforcement and other competent authorities. Through its vigilance, the FIC helps ensure Namibia maintains a robust defense against illicit financial flows, contributing significantly to national and regional financial stability.
