FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Financial Controller Responsibilities
• Process and manage all accounting operations including Invoicing. Debtors, Creditors. Cash Book. General Ledger. Cost Accounting. Inventory Accounting
• Prepare and present timely monthly Management Accounts
• Submit timely month-end and year-end Reconciliations
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with NamRa reporting requirements and tax filings (Import VAT. VAT and Employee Tax)
• Manage and develop accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Additional general duties as necessary
• Ad hoc marketing duties
• Ad hoc business administration duties
• Ad hoc IT duties

Requirements and Expectations
• Proven working experience as Financial Controller
• 10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• Diploma in Accounting
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and proce-dures in a retail environment
• Experience with general ledger functions and month-end / year-end reconciliations and compiling of annual year- end reports for the Auditors
• Excellent Pastel Partner software user and administration skills
• Excellent inter-personal skills
• The willingness to learn about technical aspects in this retail business
• The candidate must be goal driven and be a responsible financial and business planner who will assist the business owners in their decision-making processes, ensuring continued business growth
