FINANCIAL CONTROLLER (Grade D1)

Experience, skills, knowledge required for the position.
Grade 12 + B Com (Honours) degree with articles
At least 5 years’ experience as an Accountant / Auditor / Financial Controller Must have excellent knowledge of: Income Tax laws, IAS, company law, labour law. Preferably a strong background in financial and cost / budget management Must be able to operationalise the strategies.
Must have demonstrated Leadership skills.
Be able to use own initiative and take quick decisions independently.
Must be able build team spirit.
Must be able to present and communicate information.
Must be analytical and highly detail orientated.
Must have excellent planning and organisational skills.
Must be able deliver on results and in time.
Must be able to work under pressure and be able to adapt to change.
Must be able to speak and write English on an advanced level.
Must have excellent numeric and verbal abilities.
Must be computer literate on an advanced level.
Must be able to resolve complex problems in an innovative way.
Must be willing to work overtime when required.
Must have Driver’s license.
Preferably a Namibian Citizen

And wish to execute the following responsibilities:
Verification of financials.
Internal auditing of all companies
Assist with financial modelling.
Compile monthly VAT reconciliations and reasonability tests.
Compile monthly stock quantity reconciliations.
Compile monthly related party schedules.
Review ledger account reconciliations monthly
Assist with accounting as and when required.
Assist with internal audits as and when required.
Assist with reporting as and when required.
