Job Responsibilities
- Research, develop and produce in-depth financial, technical and analytical written content for various traditional and digital media platforms;
• Liaise closely with management to create strategic written communication to achieve measurable outcomes;
• Responsible for executing the set financial and analytical written content strategy of the group and its subsidiaries;
• Work closely with the various business heads to formulate interesting and newsworthy stories to generate publicity for the group and its subsidiaries;
• Analyse financial markets to produce written opinion pieces based on available industry data;
• Develop a writing style in line with the group and its values;
• Assist in the compilation of written communication for, but not limited to, media releases, integrated reporting, social media posts, press releases etc.;
• Produce high-volume written content in a fast paced environment.

• Must have strong and diverse writing capabilities with the aptitude to use complex subject matter and create comprehensible written content;
• Extreme attention to detail;
• Ability to produce factual, concise and grammatically correct copy;
• Must be a professional accordionist;
• Presentable, articulate and confident communication and presentation skills;
• Keen interest in and understanding of financial markets;
• Ability to prioritise and manage time;
• Media relations and pitching experience will be beneficial;

~~Qualifications & Experience
• Applicant must either have a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Journalism or equivalent, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Analysis, Economics, Financial Planning or equivalent;
• Minimum five (5) years’ formal writing experience, preferably in the financial industry;
• A minimum requirement to be considered as a possible shortlisted candidate for the vacant position will be that the applicant must successfully pass the “Trustco Group Integrated Annual Reports Test” which will consist of multiple-choice questions from the annual report of the group and its segments.
