FINANCE OFFICER – Young Africa Namibia

Young Africa (YA) Namibia, a young and growing Namibian (NGO), aims to empower young people through practical training in market-oriented trades in combination with life skills and entrepreneurship. We do so in close cooperation with local entreprenuers who franchise our training departments from which they run their business while training students on the job. Our head office and main center is based in Otjiwarongo where we offer skills training in various trades in combination with life skills and entrepreneurship training.

To strengthen our team at our head office in Otjiwarongo and our satellite in Ondangwa we are currently looking for friendly, honest, hardworking and responsible candidates who are dedicated to  the integral development of under priviledged young people. We offer the following positions.

FINANCE OFFICER (OTJIWARONGO)

. Oversee the financial and administrative operations of YA and that they adhere to the YA Finance and Administration Policy

. Deliver timely and accurate financial reports and practices including cash management, payroll, financial disbursements, ledgers

. Responsible for entering financial information and maintaining all financial records for projects and for YA

Manage financial controls and prepare and analyse budgets

Monitor the expenditures and make recommendations to ensure that program funds are utilized appropriately

• Oversee the financial audits of all YA projects as well as the organisational audit
• Provide inputs for proposal development, project management. Human Resource Management policies, logistics, travel and other areas of administration.
