FINANCE MANAGER

JOB TITLE: FINANCE MANAGER (REPORTING TO THE HOSPITAL MANAGER) DEPARTMENT: FINANCE

JOB PURPOSE: To strategically lead the Finance Department.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic and financial management

Cascade the relevant strategic imperatives to develop the Finance Operational Plan.
Monitor and evaluate the departmental performance against strategic and operational plans.
Develop, communicate, and implement Financial Policies and Procedures.
Overall group financial management and reporting

Budget and forecasting

Oversee the consolidated budgeting process.
Evaluate capital investment projects by reviewing the financial indicators and ensuring that projects yield the required return.
Prioritise projects based on return on investment, risk and ensuring that investment is in line with strategy.

Reporting, statutory governance and staff management

Minimum Requirements:

Honours degree in Accounting and Financial Management with completed articles •5 years’ experience of which 2 years should have been in a managerial position. •Registered as a Chartered Accountant Membership of ICAN/SAICA
Knowledge of IFRS and relevant legislation and regulations
Code B Driver’s License
