Job Title: Finance Intern
Role Purpose: To assist the finance department with daily operations and reporting while gaining practical, hands-on experience through on-site financial monitoring and field-based assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue cash to various departments and ensure petty cash vouchers are authorised by line managers.
- Reconciliation of petty cash and suppliers accounts.
- Review invoices and liaise with suppliers.
- Process invoices and credit notes on PASTEL.
- Prepare EFT requisition and send remittances to suppliers.
- Update Direct Banking Sheets Daily.
- Assist with balance sheet accounts reconciliation
- Ad hoc duties
Requirements
- Grade 12 (25 points in 5 subjects)
- Diploma in Accounting and Finance
- Experience in related accounting environment
- Knowledge of PASTEL is an advantage
- Advanced computer skills (Microsoft suite)
- Attention to details
- Time management
- Analytic and numerical skills
- Able to work under pressure
