Purpose of the job

 

The Financial Clerk will provide financial and clerical service to stakeholders by ensuring accurate and effective accounts payments and related functions.

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

• Certificate in Finance or Accounting NQA Level 5.
• Two (2) years working experience in a finance or accounting administration environment.
• Working knowledge on financial accounting system.
• Knowledge of financial modelling.
• Knowledge of SAGE X3.
• Must be highly detail orientated.
Proficiency in computer applications, including the
full Microsoft Office Suite.

 

Key Performance Areas

 

• Receive and verify invoices from the suppliers and employees.
• Request statements from the Suppliers for the month, facilitate payment of invoices by initiating X3 reminders and contacting clients.
• Process monthly account statements and capture the data when the invoices are received.
• Capture expenses to GL and business units by supporting documents.
• Perform day to day financial transactions, verify, classify, post and record accounts payable data.
Query outstanding payments in the first
week after month end.
Disburse petty cash by recording entry and
verity documentation.
File the invoices, reconciliation statements
and remittance timeousty.
• Respond promptly to queries from suppliers, contractors and employees.
