Farm helpers (x2)| JnS Farming

JnS Farming is a small farming operation based in Oniipa. which was started in 2016 to produce organic poultry products. The farm hosts a variety of livestock namely: chickens. quails, ducks, guinea fowls. pigeons, pigs and rabbits.

Position: Farm helpers (x2).

Salary: NS 1500.00 monthly

Schedule: Monday to Sunday.

Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Subject to change based upon production needs). Position Summary

• Farm helpers will be responsible for executing daily functions needed to meet the farm’s production goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Remove used litter from houses; clean and disinfect poultry houses and all Place new shavings in houses following cleaning.
• Move birds as required to feed conversion houses, growing houses. laying
• Repairs cages, pens, equipment (feeders, waterers. lights, fans. etc.) and buildings or fenced yards.
• Do security, vaccination, and isolating and treating weak/ill birds.

Requirements:

• An honest person with integrity and respect.
• Innovative and hard working.
• Grade 10 or 12 (certificate in agriculture or poultry related studies will be an added advantage)
• Past working experience in poultry farm will be an added advantage.
• Stays within 5km from farm.
