Key Responsibilities

Polish all fancy shapes and various sizes to consistently achieve top make and GIA EX/EX results.
Train, mentor, and develop junior Namibian staff.
Plan and mark rough diamonds for maximum yield and value.
Make accurate and commercially viable planning decisions.
Perform final grading and quality control of polished diamonds.
Identify and maintain high-quality standards.
Shape and brute diamonds, including round and fancy shapes.
Achieve accurate shapes while maintaining optimum weight.

Requirements

FANCY SHAPE DIAMOND POLISHERS:
- Minimum 10 years’ proven experience.
- Experience polishing all fancy shapes and various sizes.
- Ability to consistently achieve top make and GIA EX/EX results.
- Strong combination of production and quality.
- Must be able to train and mentor Junior staff.
DIAMOND MARKER & PLANNER:
- Experienced in planning and marking rough diamonds for maximum yield and value.
- Strong knowledge of different diamond shapes, proportions and manufacturing possibilities.
- Ability to make accurate and commercially viable planning decisions.
- Experience with complex and high-value rough diamonds will be an advantage.
FINAL POLISH GRADER:
- Experienced in final grading and quality control of polished diamonds.
- Strong knowledge of make, symmetry, proportions, polish and finish.
- Ability to identify and maintain high-quality standards.
- Experience with GIA grading standards will be an advantage.
DIAMOND SHAPER / BRUTER:
- Experienced in shaping and bruting diamonds, including round and fancy shapes.
- Strong understanding of proportions, symmetry and shape formation.
- Ability to achieve accurate shapes while maintaining optimum weight.
- Experience with different sizes and challenging rough diamonds will be an advantage.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Experienced professionals who can deliver QUALITY, ACCURACY & PRODUCTIVITY at international diamond manufacturing standards.
- Ability to train and develop junior Namibian staff will be an important advantage.
