FACILITATOR: CIVIL AND BUILDING CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT – TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING (TVET) 

VACANCY

Duration: 1 Year Contract (January 2025 to December 2025)

Duty Station: Nakayale VTC (Outapi)

Report to: Head of Training

Purpose To conduct training and continuous assessment of trainees in the practical and theoretical components of Civil and Building Construction Management at Nakayale VTC.

Key Performance Areas

• Teach trainees the principles, techniques, and processes of training (CBET)
• Develop and present training material to trainees
• Design assessment tools and administer internal assessment
• Maintain accurate and complete trainee records as required
• Responsible for classroom and workshop management; and
• Communicate effectively with all relevant parties (trainees, management, team members, and industries) in all required formats.

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering (NQF level 7)
• Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in construction projects
• A National Vocational Instructor Certificate or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution) (NQF Level 5) with at least one (1) year of teaching experience will be an advantage.

Other Competencies

• Knowledge of the subject matter.
• Knowledge of training principles and methodologies;
• Experience in developing respective course materials;
• Experience in workshop management and the maintenance of equipment;
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills;
• Knowledge of Word. Excel. PowerPoint, and general methods of data presentation, and
• Good Organisational skills and Record management skills.
