EXTERNAL AUDIT SENIOR MANAGER – KPMG Namibia

KPMG Namibia is recruiting an External Audit Senior Manager, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.

Duties

Planning and execution of audit fieldwork and statutory reporting across a portfolio of clients
Project management of all aspects of audit including agreeing audit timelines, team briefings, and supervision and delivery of audit work
Budgeting and monitoring the financial performance of projects, focusing on optimizing profitability
Providing technical input to a number of projects and providing review and challenge to deliverables produced by the team
Cultivate and maintain client relationships at existing and target clients
Contribute to the development of new propositions/services and the refreshing of existing products/services
Actively identifying and supporting business development opportunities, including supporting the team with sales activities such as proposal writing and assisting with client presentation
Working closely with the Partners to play an active role in the proposal and pitching of products/services for new work
Work with other KPMG teams and provide technical input
Work with the Partner responsible for Risk Management within the firm and other jurisdictions

Requisites

Leadership skills and ability to act as a role model
Drive and resilience and ability to thrive in a pressured environment
Excellent working knowledge of IFRS
Well-developed supervisory skills e.g. coaching and motivation
Strong communication skills
Professional qualification fully attained (CA, ACA or ACCA)
Relevant working experience of minimum 5 years
Prior Big 4 experience is a plus
Ability to deliver under pressure
Ability to travel for business
