National Youth Service an equal opportunity employer invites all interested candidates who have necessary experience to apply for the following position: 1 X EXECUTIVE NATIONAL SERVICE TRAINING (E2)
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To strategically coordinate and ensure effective management of National Service Training, Voluntary Services and Placement activities:
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs)
⦁ Manages, organises, and implements National Service Training.
⦁ Sets divisional objectives and performance standards for National service training.
⦁ Develops and implements policies, procedures, and guidelines for National service training.
⦁ Research and monitors progress of curriculum implementation.
⦁ Coordinates activities between NYS and external stakeholders with specific reference to armed forces.
⦁ Plans and monitors the effectiveness of the attachment programme.
⦁ Develops and maintains a framework for regular liaison, including feedback on attached trainees.
⦁ Manage the centre and all centre activities.
⦁ Interpret and Implement relevant legislation and other NYS regulations i.e., Centre Operational Orders, Transport Policies and Procurement Policies.
⦁ Coordinates operational functions i.e., regular inspections on equipment and infrastructure.
⦁ Serve as a focal person representing NYS in all functions at the centre.
⦁ Ensures direct control on usage of consumable and non-consumable items as per the suppliers.
⦁ Organizing parade and centre events and report accordingly.
⦁ Manages departmental resources {human capital, financial and asset).
⦁ Develops an annual recruitment plan for the Recruits.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
⦁ A Degree in Military/Policing/Education or related qualification.
⦁ Ten (10) years Military/Policing experience, of which five (5) years must have been at Managerial Level.
⦁ Driver’s license
⦁ Exposure to training management, will be an added advantage.
