EXECUTIVE (5 – YEAR CONTRACT) PATTERSON GRADE: E

The City of Windhoek requires the services of a suitably qualified, experienced and visionary Strategic Executive who will be responsible for directing and ensuring the achievement of the strategic objectives of the Economic Development and Community Services Department. This is a contractual position for a period of five (5) years, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.

Purpose of the job

As a member of the Executive Management Team, the position is required to provide strategic and operational direction to the City of Windhoek’s Economic Development & Community Services Department in line with the provisions to the Local Authorities Act, Council Resolutions and directives from the Chief Executive Officer.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Namibian Citizen
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Specializing in Business Administration, Emergency I Disaster / Risk Management Economic Development / Entrepreneurship, Social Sciences, Education, Horticulture, Sports Management, Local Government, Urban / Rural Planning, Management (or equivalent)
• A minimum of ten (10) years corporate experience of which 5 years served at management level
• A relevant Master’s Degree or Senior Management Development Programme would serve as an added advantage.
