The Excavator Operator is required to operate primary loading production excavators in the open pit mining operation. This is done through loading material into hauling trucks to deliver required production volumes in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate the excavator to dig, move and load materials.
- Safely and precisely load trucks to capacity requirements and minimize spillages.
- Work according to loading sequence, ore grade and floor levels.
- Compliance to all company safety rules and regulations, identity and report risks.
- High concentration and awareness to safety manoeuvre large equipment.
- Inspect equipment, record and report detects, report hours and work done.
Requirements
- Grade 10 or Grade 12 certificate.
- Code B driver’s license is compulsory.
- Operator Certificate of competence on CAT 390, CAT 6020B or similar 90 tons-120 tons Excavators
- At least 2 years’ experience as an Excavator Operator.
- Have basic communication skills.
- Safe driving and accurate record keeping.
