Key Responsibilities

• Providing quality nursing care, patient monitoring and support to patients within the General Ward environment.
• Administering medication and carrying out nursing procedures in accordance with prescribed treatment plans and hospital protocols.
• Maintaining accurate patient records, documentation, stock control and ward administration processes.
• Promoting infection prevention, patient safety and compliance with hospital policies and clinical procedures.
• Supporting teamwork, effective communication and collaboration with doctors, Registered Nurses and multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• Certificate in Enrolled Nursing and registration with the Health Professions Council of Namibia (HPCNA) as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience within a clinical environment, with private hospital experience serving as an added advantage.
• Sound knowledge of infection prevention and control practices, patient care procedures and hospital policies.
• Good communication, interpersonal, organisational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Professional, ethical and patient-centred approach with the ability to work shifts within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
