JOB ROLE

To investigate, design, construct, and upgrade all Electrical and Instrumentation infrastructures to ensure that water supply systems are operating efficiently and effectively.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications & Experience

BSc Degree in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering

NQF Level

Level 8

Legal Requirements

Registered as a Professional Engineer

Driver’s License Code B

Communication & Interpersonal skills

Advance skill in the use of MS office as a tool in all areas of engineering including analysis of water supply systems

Sound knowledge and understanding of Water systems and the control of these systems

Understanding Telemetry and SCADA systems

Long term planning (Scenario and resource planning)

Negotiation skills

Project Management skills

Ability to work autonomously

Development of Project (infrastructure) Budget

Control Resource Utilization

Procurement of Specialized Equipment or Services for Infrastructure Development

Produce Preliminary Proposal for Infrastructure or Remedial Measures on Infrastructure

Execute Infrastructure Design Proposals

Provide Engineering Consulting Services to external Clients

Ensure compliance with engineering service standards.

Implement Infrastructure Design Processes and Procedures

Design and integration of standardized equipment

Carry out the Commission of the Electrical and Instrumentation Systems
