ELECTRICIAN

Lady Pohamba Private Hospital is on the verge of opening the biggest, state-of-the-art private hospital In Namibia.
We are looking for an Electrician to executes preventive and corrective electrical maintenance on all facilities and building systems. Professionalism should be the main philosophy underlying practice. The incumbent should possess well-developed interpersonal, : communication and time-management skills and have good analytical skills.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
The incumbent will be responsible and accountable for:
• Maintain, repair, install and test Electrical Equipment and Systems throughout the facility in a professional manner and in accordance with all codes.
• Knowledge of generators, transfer switches, substation operation, fire alarm, Nurse Call, and Pneumatic Tube system.
• Be On Call on a rotating schedule.
• Able to complete jobs neat and on time with minimal equipment down time.
• Locates and diagnoses and repairs electrical problems in switches, plugs, electrical appliances, electronic equipment, motors, generators, lighting systems and electrical systems.
• Installs transformer, switch gear, electrical cable, and circuitry, plugs, lighting systems, electrical appliances, electronic equipment, and electrical systems.
• Maintain primary and secondary circuits, installs electrical appliances and systems, and checks voltage lines and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet the demands of the department including plumbing, carpentry, flooring installation and repair, ceiling tile installation and repair, locksmith, landscaping, HVAC.
• Coordinates and schedules maintenance, construction, and repair activities of building electrical systems, mechanical systems, grounds, and utilities.
QUALIFICATIONSAND EXPERIENCE:
• Senior/Grade 12 Certificate.
• N3 with Electrical Trade test and wiremen’s license.
• 5+ years of experience preferably in a hospital environment.
• Attention to detail.
