Erongo Marine Enterprises (PTY) LTD (“EME”) is a proudly Namibian registered fishing company, based in Walvis Bay and operates in the Horse Mackerel fishery. EME has an exemplary record in respect of its fishing operations as well as its focus on socio-economic investment and development, both regionally and nationally. We are looking to fill the following vacancy:

Purpose of the role: Report to Chief Engineer. Responsible for all electrical & electronic equipment on vessel, to correctly service, maintain and operations electrical equipment. 

Minimum role requirements & experience

• • STW95 F Class 2/1 (management Level) Marine Engineer certificate Unlimited with Offshore Electrical Engineering specialization or equivalent qualification CoC i.e. Electro-Technical Officer Red seal
• • Thorough knowledge of three phase power generation and distribution
• • Thorough knowledge of engine safety control systems, Alarms, on Soviet-built Meridien factory freezer trawlers.
• • Ensure safe working condition of electrical equipment
• • Ensure reliable condition, operation, and maintenance of all electrical equipment
• • Responsible of automation equipment (mechanisms, devices, systems, equipment)
• • Strong leadership
• • Good communication skills
• • Keep electrical documentation on record
