MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: An Appropriate B. Degree on NQF L7 in Economics.
Having an Honours’ Degree, extensive exposure in Microsoft Excel and other modelling
Software plus a Drivers licence would be an added advantage.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
 Collect, process and keep records of high frequency economic data for trend and
macroeconomic analyses and projections;
 Conduct macroeconomic research on important topical issues and developments in
respect of key economic indicators;
 Produce and distribute the quarterly Economic Update reports and ad hoc economic
brief (minimum of one report per quarter);
 Organize the annual Industrial Surveys to collect data for the annual macroeconomic
modelling and simulations exercise for GDP projections.
 Carrying out of additional instructions and tasks related to the function of the Division
when instructed to.
 Update the integrated macroeconomic model regularly as and whenever high
frequency economic data are released and formulate briefing papers for Management
about the implications thereof
