Job Title: Eco Tourism Development Manager

Description:

Primary duties will be to oversee conservation, development and implement policies geared towards sustainable development on the reserve. Develop a conservation strategy. Manage conservation awareness. Responsible for the develop­ment of guests’ activities, guest ecological interaction, develop and train field guides. The position requires the candidate to assist, plan and implement environmental policies and practices, manag­ing conservation awareness and monitoring biodiversity. This also include fieldwork, general wild life observation and specie surveys. Additionally assist with APU planning & activities.

Requirements: Diploma in Game Ranging & Lodge Management

FGASA level 1& 2 (or similar)

FGASA Trail Guide Certificate

Advanced Rifle Training & Competency Certificate

First Aid Certificates

APU Training & Experience

Computer literacy

Organised and self-motivated

The ability to take lead on projects

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Proven leadership and team player skills

Minimum of 10 years Field & Lodge Working Experience

International work experiences an advantage

Valid Dover’s license with PDP (goods and people)

Qualification in Cyber Tracking Wildfire fighting experience /training

Snakebite awareness training/experience
