Introduction

 

Farming for Resilience (F4R) works along side, the Ministry of Agriculture, Water, and Land Reform. F4R objective and services are:

 

▪ Policy and technical advisory services

▪ Advice on improvement of framework conditions for small-holder seed multiplication

▪ Targeted measures to strengthen agricultural productivity and climate resilience of small-holder farmers and production systems

▪ Targeted measures to improve food and nutrition’s security in Namibia

▪ Procurement and logistics

▪ Capacity development intervention for relevant stakeholders

 

Specification

 

The driver is responsible for:

 

▪ safely and responsibly performing all official travel using official vehicles

▪ regularly servicing and looking after official vehicles as well as renewing the licenses for the project vehicles

▪ running official errands and

▪ assisting with other office work

▪ provides passenger transport in an official car for office, project staff, official visitors, and guests

▪ runs errands for the project, programme, or office, e.g. sending letters and messages, paying bills and invoices, buying office supplies and stationeries, obtaining quotations from different companies as well

as banking business

▪ helps with transporting goods

▪ completes the vehicle log correctly and conscientiously in accordance with GIZ standards

▪ Ad hoc tasks on request

 

 

Requirements

▪Secondary School Education

▪ Valid driver’s license Code: C1E& PA Category-P or higher – please submit a certified copy

▪ At least 3 years’ work experience as a driver with references

▪ No major accidents in the past 3 years

▪ Good knowledge of English language

▪ Punctual

▪ Good interpersonal skills with a friendly

▪ Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed

▪ willingness to conduct duty trips to remote areas
