Function

The Driver is responsible for collecting and controlling of petrol receipts, review of fleet management reports and noting of mistakes if any, check and agree petrol receipts with the billing on the fleet management report and following up with Standard Bank fleet management for corrections where necessary, compiling of monthly reports, delivery and pickup of items, documentation ensuring accurate capture of what the item/documentation is, who requested the transport of the item, who received the item, and obtaining proper signatures.

Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of the rules and regulations involved in the safe and efficient operation of automotive equipment and knowledge of basic automotive maintenance procedures.
• Collecting and controlling of petrol receipts.
• Review of fleet management reports and noting of mistakes if any.
• Check and agree petrol receipts with the billing on the fleet management report and following up with Standard Bank fleet management for corrections where necessary.
• Compiling of monthly reports.
• Delivery and pickup of items, documentation ensuring accurate capture of what the item/documentation is, who requested the transport of the item, who received the item, and obtaining proper signatures.
• Keep assigned vehicles free from damage, in acceptable condition and consistently clean. Driver must ensure that the vehicle is in proper and safe condition prior to use and accept responsibility to report any damage or mechanical malfunctions that exist. Ensure that vehicle maintenance is kept up to date, service dates are kept and license disks up to date.
• The driver shall be responsible for the routine check-ups of the vehicles, routine check-up to include checking of oil, brake function, water, lights and tire condition.
• Transporting of IntraHealth staff and visitors to various facilities in and around Namibia including the Airports.
• Periodic testing of company employees authorized to drive company vehicles to ensure their driving abilities are of outstanding quality.
• The driver shall observe strictly the company rules and regulations, policies and directives and instructions of IntraHealth.

Job requirements

Minimum Educational Requirements

• Completion of at least Grade 12

Minimum Expereince Required

• Job-related experience in running errands, collecting mail and pay bills

Knowledge and Skills

• Good oral and written English skills
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Experience and Educational requirements (Added Advantage)

• Preferred: NGO and donor-funded experience is desired.
• Advanced driving certificate
