South Africa, and Zambia in response to the challenges of Global Change The SASSCAL Graduate Studies Programme in integrated Water Resources Management (SGSP – IWRM) at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) The objective of the SGSP – IWRM is to develop and deploy an innovative and excellent regional collaborative education and research programme at the PhD level complemented by selected tailor-made short courses
Post-Doctoral Researcher SGSP-IWRM (3 Years Contract)
Requirements
A relevant Doctorate (NQF Level 10) with at least two years of lecturing or research experience at tertiary education level and/or industry experience or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience post obtaining the doctoral qualification Excellent English communication (oral and written), computer and interpersonal skills Sound knowledge m teaching methods; designing of courses/modules/curncuia development, assessment procedures, quality assurance methods; administrative procedures, knowledge of theory and application in relevant areas and grant writing Competence to exercise independent discretion and judgement in carrying out research activities within the predetermined research scope and methodology of the GSP
Key Performance Areas
Organise and implement complex research plans, develop methods of research and collect, analyse and evaluate data, prepare descriptive, analytical and evaluative reports. Lecture, develop curricula (including short courses) and conduct research and community engagement activities and administration
