Purpose of the position:

To manage the scheduling, production, tracking, and documentation involved in moving products, from one place to another.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the movement of stock in and out of dispatch area by performing regular checks, including stock taking
Ensures that delivery dates and changes are communicated to relevant parties
Ensures that orders are delivered within 10 working days
Ensures that sales/invoicing targets are met daily
Ensures that cleaning and housekeeping are done regularly
Ensures that products are stored in the allocated areas
Supervise dispatch employees during overtime work and implement cost saving structures to minimise overtime work
Ensures that company vehicles are clean, and that maintenance and roadworthy tests are done timeously
Ensures invoicing is done timeously
Ensures a safe workplace without risk to health, reporting and problems in terms of health and safety
Supervise employees to ensure work in done and targets are achieved
Assist with Stock takes

Skills & Qualifications:

Grade 12
At least 1 year working experience as a dispatch clerk
Computer literate
Excellent spoken and written communication skills
Ability to prioritise work, work efficiently and accurately under pressure and be able to meet deadlines
Valid driver’s license
Must be presentable and neat
Must have traceable references
Must be able to start immediately
