CORPORATE ENGAGEMENT AND INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
DIRECTOR
Job Description:
This position requires the Incumbent to play on integral role In developing the strategy for UNAM’s corporate engagement programmes, as well os defining and pursuing the highest priorities for Impact. Also, the Incumbent will be responsible for overseeing ond delivering all facets of UNAM’s corporate engagement work, as well as consistently leading a team of specialists in their efforts to build long-term partnerships with private, public and international stakeholders.
The incumbent is further responsible for marketing and communications, by ensuring that the corporate image of the University reflects its strategic direction; programme evaluation and UNAM web/social media presence; ensure the UNAM brand is promoted through all communications, branding, imagery, and corporate advertising; promotion of internationalisation; overseeing all aspects of the University’s alumni relations; student and staff exchango programmes; building networks of professional contacts with corporate and Foundation prospects for a legacy that would support the Grants Office and Foundation; and support the executive management in enabling high profile, action-oriented thought leadership seminars or colloquium on public policy issues.
Developing and implementing effective and efficient governance, administrative and financial structures, fostering an innovative work culture amongst staff necessary to advance each component of UNAM’s mission and strategy in line with the institution’s values.
Requirements:
- The candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Social Sciences. Business Development, Marketing, and/or International Relations
- Six (6) years of noteworthy experience in collaborative stakeholder engagement, thought leadership, network building, and loading alliances with higher education at a senior level.
- A good track record of having identified, pursued, and delivered on institutional impact projects with strong project development skills and strength in fundable proposal writing skills are essential.
- Ability to formulate and articulate sound policies and demonstrated ability to identify, resolve and consult a wide range of administrative and personnel issues with a clear sense of institutional needs and priorities;
- Excellent written and oral communications skills; negotiation and analytical skills; strong organisational and management skills.
- Must be a self-starter, highly organized and demonstrated knowledge and expertise in marketing management and strategy development.
- Knowledge, experience and expertise with social media, marketing, and international partnership building.
