Salary scale : N$478,220 – N$502,753
Housing Allowance : N$68,188 per annum
Motor Vehicle Allowance : N$102,701 per annum
JOB SUMMARY: This job category includes personnel involved with
administration/management of an occupationally/technically related organization
component.
Minimum requirements: A B-Degree in either Security Management, Police Science or Military
Science or Risk Management on NQF Level 7 plus 9 years’ experience in Security
Management or Risk Management of which five years should be at Chief level, Grade 6 or 5.
Confirmation of probation is subject to the successful completion of the Security Awareness
training for Managers by Namibia Central Intelligence Services (NCIS).
Additional requirements:
Completed basic security management basic training.
Knowledge of security systems will serve as an added advantage.
Thorough understanding of policies and best practices of risk management.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
To control, maintain, monitor, direct and manage the Security Service Division in capacity
of its function of – vetting and organisation, security administration, security maintenance
in the Office of the Prime Minister and provide security to all sub office within the country;
To develop, review, oversee and evaluate the implementation of the various security
directives, manuals, policies in the Office of the Prime Minister;
Ensure the security programs such as: physical security, personnel security, document
security, ICT security and security awareness are implemented, enforced, maintained,
monitored, evaluated and adhered to;
To direct and control the execution of vetting and to chair the vetting committee with
regards to confidential security clearance;
To investigate the contravention of security directives and advice the Executive Director
in respect of appropriate steps deemed necessary as a result of such investigations;
Be the principal security liaison officer of the Office of the Prime Minister with other bodies
of the government and
Provide expert advice, guidance and support to manager, supervisor and general staff
members in the Office of the Prime Minister.
Establishes policies and procedures to identify and address risks in the organizations
services and departments.
Recommends and implements risk management solutions such as safety and security
policies, business continuity plans, or recovery measures.
