Opportunity | Duty Description

Wesbank Transport a division of FP du Toit Transport (Pty) Ltd, as a Namibian equal opportunity employer, has the
following challenging career opportunity for a suitable candidate in Windhoek.

The position’s key performance areas are:

• Driving the vehicle is the main responsibility (in Windhoek as well as within the Borders of Namibia as and when requested).
• Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment.
• Receive list of goods to be picked up / delivered.
• Ensure all listed goods are picked up and delivered correctly.
• Complete the collection note when collecting goods.
• Ensure that all necessary documents are submitted to the office.
• Complete daily driving list and MDC logbook.
• The driver is responsible for the cargo that is being transported in that he must ensure that the goods and materials used on the truck are handled in a responsible manner and that he does not act negligently.
• Assist with any other general work as may be requested.
• Immediately report any accidents to manager.
• Manifest preparations and control.
• Waybill create and capturing.
• Customer enquiries (telephonically and walk-in).
• Assist to OPS Manager.
• Sorting of freight documents / in and outgoing.
• Collections and Deliveries instructions from the office.
• Monitoring pick-ups and collections.
• Assist with Receptionist responsibilities when needed.
• Creating freight lists before departures.
• COF of vehicles.
• Ensuring all checklist handed in and filed correctly to ISO standards.
• Job card preparations (vehicle and forklifts).
• Perform any other duties as may be requested from time to time as might be reasonably expected from a Depot Driver / Operations Administration Clerk.

Opportunity | Duty Requirement(s)

The suitable candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Namibian Citizen with a valid Code CE driver’s license and valid PDP (Dangerous Goods).
• Grade 12 with a minimum of 2-3 years’ relevant experience in an administration/transport industry, including the administration of border documents.
• Hazchem Certification will be an added advantage.
• Must have excellent driving, interpersonal, communication skills as well as good organisational and administrative abilities.
• Must be proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office packaged with a basic knowledge of the accounting principles.
• Must have sober habits.
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Must have high integrity and adhere to principles and values.
• Must have high attention to detail and work accurately.
• Must work according to strict deadlines, follow instructions, procedures and must have excellent time management skills.
• Must be able to deliver on results and meet customer expectations.
