Departmental Manager Foods – Africa Personnel Services

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates & deliver customer service
• Implement selling & promotional initiatives
• Manage Strategy, Plan, and Financials
• Drive shop keeping disciplines
• Managing teams and people
• Participate in general store operational duties
• Ensure the delivery of a consistent customer shopping experience in line with agreed service levels.
• Develop, recruit, retain, and lead a competent and motivated store team.
• Lead and develop the departmental team to deliver against the operating plan, through collaboration with the store management team.
• Issuing the performance improvement note Maximise selling opportunities within the parameters of the Foods/Textile selling plan through the effective implementation of trading notes.
• Effectively manage Foods/Textile stock inventory systems and ensure timeous replenishment of merchandise.
• Manage all Foods/Textile departmental activities and related financial costs against budgets and business plans ensuring foods/textile sales growth is in line with agreed targets.
• Ensure risk is managed within the Foods area by accurately and timeously completing risk audit documentation to ensure compliance.
• Ensure all operational standards and controls are adhered to, ensuring health and safety and minimizing risks in store.

 

Requirements

• Grade 12 & Commercial qualification e.g. Retail Business Management Diploma
• 5 years of retail experience in Retail of which 3 years should have been at managerial level
• Innate awareness of clothing and home or foods retail trend
• Be available to travel
• Be available and flexible to work different shifts and across the stores
