The Roads Authority was established in terms of Section 2 of the Roads Authority Act, Act no. 17 of 1999. The
Authority fully became operational on the 01 April 2000. The Roads Authority is responsible for the management of
national road network with a view of achieving a safe and efficient road sector.

SECTION: INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT)
Database Administrator, Patterson Grade C5
Duty Station WINDHOEK

Primary Purpose

To execute database architecture design, implementation,
administration, monitoring and tuning, migration, support, change
management control and maintaining the data integrity of Roads
Authority database

Key Performance Areas

– Database management
– Project management
– Systems quality assurance
– Systems integration
– Systems implementation and application maintenance

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

– B Degree in Software Engineering, MIS, ICT, Business
Computing, or equivalent
– 3 years’ industry experience in Oracle and SQL Server
Database administration
– Code B Driver’s License
