Opportunity | Duty Description

Efficiently and effectively maintain, archive, monitor and enhance the company databases. Work closely with business analysts and application developers to determine the best database design based on systems specifications, and they create the underlying database for applications. Work hand in hand with the development team to ensure that the architecture provides the greatest reliability, performance and safety

Opportunity | Duty Requirement(s)

-Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, computer science or electronics engineering
-NQF Level 7
– Five (5) years working experience in the ICT field. Two (2) years should have been in the area of database administration.
– Driver’s Licence Code B
– Recommended Certifications:
– Oracle Certified Administrator
– Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator
– MySQL Database Administrator
– ITIL V3

–  Developing of new Database system (e.g. Oracle, SQL)
–  Maintaining the confidentiality, Integrity and availability of Database systems
–  Design logical models and convert them into data models
–  Enhancing existing software systems
