Opportunity | Duty Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for the above-mentioned position to be based in Windhoek, reporting to the DC Manager. The purpose of this position is to compile and process loads for delivery fleet and processing of the necessary documentation.
Opportunity | Duty Requirement(s)
Key Performance Areas include, but are not limited to:
- Compile delivery fleet loads to ensure maximum vehicle and equipment utilization
- Ensure legal compliance to stipulated weight requirements
- Accurate and timeous load compiling for the delivery fleet on a daily basis
- Effectively compile reports for Vehicle, Roadshow and Equipment
- Successful liaison with the Warehouse, Customer Delivery and CSC Departments
- Facilitate feedback sessions with all drivers and do inputs to ensure Roadshow effectiveness
- Generate billing documents, OTIF, to increase departure time targets
- Efficient DAC office administration, with backups and safe storage for use when needed
- Effective maintenance of customer base details on Roadshow and SAP
- Reconciliation of Shipments
- Participate and be an effective and productive team player
- Must be willing to work overtime as and when required
- Working shifts as per roster
Preferable qualifications / experience/ skills:
- Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- A tertiary qualification in transport/ planning/ logistics would be advantageous
- At least 2 years experience in a similar environment
- Computer literacy (MS Office & SAP packages); knowledge of ASYCUDA WORLD will be advantageous
- Knowledge and exposure to a Quality Management System (ISO & ICC)
- Basic Accounting skills will be an added advantage to perform accurate reconciliations
- A valid driver’s license (Code B/BE)
- Strong administration skills with a keen interest in figures
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Innovative, self-driven individual with the ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Excellent analytical abilities with a passion for problem-solving and solution implementation
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Intricate and elaborate knowledge of Distell’s range of products
