POST: 1 X CREDITORS CLERK-Karasburg Town Council
DEPARTMENT: FINANCE
Purpose:
To perform payments and billing, as well as perform all creditors related tasks.
Key Performance Areas:
- Responsible tor payments and Electricity billing
- Capture all invoices on the system upon receiving them and process alt invoices.
- Maintain the accounts payable systems m order to ensure complete and accurate records and tile all documentations.
- Check allocations of expenses to General Ledger
- Reconcile the statements to the invoices received
- Compile Creditor Reconciliation.
- Compile Journals for corrections and submit to direct Supervisor for approval.
- Ensure that VAT is claimed correctly.
- Make copies of VAT invoices for documentary proof to the Receiver of Revenue.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate with Accounting as a Subject
- At least 2 – 3 years appropriate municipal working experience.
- Knowledge of working with spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of the Munsoft System will be an advantage.
