The above-mentioned position is vacant at FP du Toit Transport Group. FP du Toit Transport has been in existence since 1968 and have diversified over time from a solely long-haul operation to one which now includes Pro Parcel a part-load and distribution operation), Jet. Couriers (an express road and air courier service) as well as Wesbank Transport (a full-load and abnormal division). This is in line with our strategy to offer our clients a complete range of services to satisfy all their logistical requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Capturing of invoices, creditors reconciliation and payment preparation
• Fleet diesel reconciliation
• Check and verify all petty cash requests (FP du Toit/Jet-X) and distribute cash where necessary
• Finalize insurance claims for approval by CFO
• Assist Senior Financial Accountant with month-end procedures
• Handling of stationary orders and issues
• Accurate filing, Switchboard relief duties
• Other general administrative duties in line with the responsibilities of a Creditors clerk.

 

The suitable applicant will have:

 

• Namibian Citizenship
• At least Grade 12 with Accounting and/or Mathematics
• A minimum of 2 years applied experience in a financial environment
• Good communication skills, interpersonal skills, analytical skills, negotiation skills, problem solving and the ability to work with a wide variety of people
• Honesty and the ability to perform large volumes of numerical detail accurately
• Able to work independently and be a team player
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Accuracy when capturing, costing and invoicing of accounts
• A proficient user of office IT systems including MS Outlook, Word, Excel
• Experience and knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage
• Police Clearance Certificate (not older than 3 months) – No criminal record
