Credit Controller Windhoek Head Office C Band
Purpose
To manage the credit risk of customer accounts in a manner that ensures customer satisfaction and retention while managing the risk to the company is exposed to.
Ensure completeness of credit applications and investigate and recommend risk mitigation strategies. Communicate in an efficient yet friendly manner with customers to expedite payments, solve queries and build strong key relationships with clients.
Requirements
⦁ A tertiary qualification in finance or a business-related field of study.
⦁ 2 – 5 years of relevant working experience or in a related industry.
⦁ Debt-collecting experience is essential.
⦁ Proficient with MS Excel and MS Word skills as well as large ERP systems.
⦁ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
⦁ Accuracy, service orientated, and team player.
⦁ Good business acumen for problem-solving.
⦁ Strong administrative and numerical skills.
⦁ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
⦁ Tenacious and able to handle conflict and pressure in a professional manner.
⦁ Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize a demanding workload.
Key Result Areas
⦁ Reconcile customer accounts monthly and resolve queries timeously.
⦁ Accurately process and allocate customer receipts and refunds from the bank statements.
⦁ Ensure timeous action to collect payments on due/overdue accounts.
⦁ Managing customer accounts within set credit limits and terms.
⦁ Assist with reporting as required by management.
⦁ Ensure implementation and compliance with company credit procedures and credit control policy.
⦁ Effectively manage buy-out and wholesale accounts according to agreed terms.
⦁ Manage the process for credit applications and credit limit increases and obtain required limits from a credit insurance providers.
⦁ Investigate and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
⦁ To actively manage working capital by managing debtor days.
