CONVERTER SKIMMER – Dundee Precious Metals

The incumbent will report to the Shift Supervisor: Converters be accountable for:

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Ensure all Legal, Health, Safety and Environment standards and policies are
adhered to.
• Shift take-over and hand-over.
• Ensure the accurate and timeous collection of samples. Converter samples and
reports.
• Use sample stick to draw sample from converter and record all information as
required on log sheet throughout the shift.
• Conduct physical inspections of the converter.
• Converter skimming.
• Conduct housekeeping duties.
• Perform ad-hoc related duties as assigned by Foreman.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Grade 12 Certificate with Mathematics and Chemistry.
• Must pass the Vienna Dover Test with 80%.
• 2 years’ work experience as an Operator in an industrial environment with 5 years’
work experience as an added advantage.
• Knowledge of workplace safety requirements
• Sound supervisory skills with strong interpersonal skills.
• Must have mechanical technical perceptive ability, with sound observation and clearthinking ability and crane driving skills.
• Computer literate.
• Must be physical fit: red ticket plus basic fitness test.
