Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery and plant equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes.
- Use equipment safely and efficiently in line with company procedures and safety regulations.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Ensure equipment remains in good working condition and report defects promptly.
- Drive company vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and personnel to and from job sites.
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of equipment on site.
- Work closely with site supervisors and project managers to meet project requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and issues encountered.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Valid C driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Certification or relevant experience in operating plant equipment and heavy machinery.
- Knowledge of plant equipment maintenance and repair procedures.
- Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and safe operating practices.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly to issues.
