CLERK: ACCOUNTS PAYABLE – Beefcor Meat Suppliers (Pty) Ltd

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To ensure payments to creditors and the accurate recording of such transactions.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform invoice verification, classification for accounts payable.
• Record relevant account details on invoice and accounts payable data and perform reconciliations.
• Assist with vendor application process.
• Perform checks to validate invoice processing and ensure accurate payments are made.
• Assist with counting Petty Cash.
• Capture all relevant data and transactions.
• Validate and verify data.
• Identify errors and initiate corrective actions.
• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending reminders and contacting clients.
• Distribute data and information once transactions have been affected.
• Complete the applicable reconciliations accurately and timeously.
• Generate reports detailing accounts payable status.
• Assist to communicate finance reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Any other suitable work which falls within his / her vocational abilities.
• Any other tasks as may be provided by management from time to time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETANCIES
• Basic Bookkeeping Diploma or a Certificate with a minimum of three (3) years working experience
in accounts payable or, Grade 12 with mathematics and accounting NQF Level 4 with five (5) years
working experience in accounts payable.
• Computer literate with knowledge of Meat Matrix and Pastel, knowledge of Pastel Evolution will be
advantageous.
