CLEANER – Northern Graphite

Duty Description

Clean the office space at the mine
Clean toilets, corridors, storerooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and outside areas
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
Clean floors and walls by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
Dust furniture and walls
Follow daily instructions on which areas to clean
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures
Gather and empty rubbish
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
Spray insecticides as directed to prevent insect infestation
Stock the cleaning materials and tools needed
Actively participate in safety and/or toolbox meetings and conduct a monthly safety inspection of work area based on the schedule set
Maintain a safe working environment and keep the assigned work area clean and tidy
Report all unsafe acts and conditions as well as injuries, accidents, equipment damage and near miss incidents to the supervisor in a timely manner
Any ad hoc duties
Requirement(s)
Minimum Grade 10
Minimum One (1) year Cleaning/Housekeeping Experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (English)
Honesty and Integrity
Must have a valid code of conduct not older than 3 months (Police Clearance)
