Gezhouba Mining Services Pty Ltd. (“GMS”) is a company registered under the Laws of Namibia. In 2021, GMS is successfully awarded a mining contract by a world-class uranium mine (Husab) in Namibia and will offer a one-stop mining solution comprising of drilling, blasting, loading and hauling in the Mine.

The role is based in Swakopmund.

Reporting to the Admin Supervisor.

The principal responsibility of the role is to provide cleaning service at the offices and accommodation camp.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Clean the office space in town.
• Clean rooms at the accommodation camp as required.
• Clean toilets, corridors, storerooms, and outside areas.
• Clean kitchens and bathrooms as required.
• Follow daily instructions on which areas to clean.
• Follow detailed worksheet for the cleaning of each area.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
• Clean floors and walls by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Steam-clean or shampoo carpets and polish floors.
• Dust furniture and walls.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Change bedding and make beds as required.
• Move and arrange furniture and turn mattresses as required.
• Gather and empty rubbish.
• Check and adjust aircons.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Spray insecticides as directed to prevent insect infestation.
• Replace light bulbs.
• Stock the cleaning materials and tools needed.
• Actively participate in safety and/or toolbox meetings and conduct a monthly safety inspection of work area based on the schedule set by Management.
• Maintain a safe working environment and keep the assigned work area clean and tidy.
• Report all unsafe acts and conditions as well as injuries, accidents, equipment damage and near miss incidents to the supervisor in a timely manner.

Education and experience requirements:

• Honesty and Integrity
• Grade 10 Certificate
• Police Clerance Certificate of not more than 6 months old required
• Minimum One (1) year Cleaning/Housekceping Experience
