COSDEF (Namibia Community Skills Development Foundation) is a registered Trust co-ordinating the activities of the network of Community Skills Development Centres (COSDECs), and the Arts and Craft Centre, providing competence based skills training to out of school youths and disadvantaged communities throughout Namibia, to enable them to participate in gainful economic activities.

The Support Unit (SU) provides the policy framework and maintains quality standards, through the provision of administrative and financial support and professional advice and guidance to the COSDECs and the Arts and Crafts Centre.

VACANCIES

The Foundation is seeking a qualified individual for the following position:

POSITION: CLEANER

LOCATION: ONDANGWA COSDEC
DURATION: PERMANENT

APPOINTMENT REQUIREMENTS:

• No formal qualification required

• Minimum of 2 years proven experience

• Ability to speak fluent English (interviews will be conducted in English)

• Ability to read and write

• Physical stamina and good dexterity

• Ability to work effectively and professionally with colleagues and members of the Foundation

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the Centre on a daily basis

• Clean public bathrooms

• Empty and clean bins; remove waste to designated areas

• Water the garden

• Perform yard maintenance (raking, cutting, trimming, mowing lawn, etc.)

• Ensure general upkeep, basic maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness at the Centre

• Ensure all facilities are in good condition and ready for human use at all times

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be a Namibian Citizen

• Self-motivated and results-driven

• Able to work under pressure

• Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy

• Willing to work after hours and on weekends
