PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

To plan all daily operations of the electricity/distribution section. The incumbent will also be responsible for providing an electrical and maintenance, as well as construction service to the Council, and conduct the physical supervision of the section.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:.

• Staff management.
• Maintenance of Council houses.
• General low voltage maintenance and construction.
• High voltage maintenance and construction.
• Disconnection and reconnection at houses and businesses.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 with a recognized Trade Diploma plus completed apprenticeship as Electrician Electrical will be an advantage.
• Must be in possession of a medium voltage operating certificate including operating 1lOOOv three phase distribution svstems maintenance, operation and construction.
• Wireman license would be an added advantage.
• At least Five (5) years of experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical lines.
• ‘Three (3) years practical experience in supervision of wort teams.
• Valid code BE driver s license.
• The ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
