Role Description

The role reports to the Chief Executive and provides strategic vision to assist the business to embed risk management practices and leverage its benefits to enhance business performance. Also, to enable the business to balance risk and reward. Embed enterprise risk management practices and foster and grow a risk management culture in the business. To support business line executives in ensuring that their specific risks are effectively managed as close to the source as possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of the bank’s overall risk management vision, strategy and policy
• Oversee the management of credit risk for the business line
• Oversee the management of operational risk for the business line
• Drive the management of country, market, funding, liquidity and other risks
• Lead the risk management team in the business line

Qualifications and experience

The ideal candidate should hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Mathematical Science /Business Commerce. MBA. or related fields. CA qualification is an added advantage combined with a minimum of 10 years’ extensive experience in enterprise risk management (preferably in a financial services organization), lending processes and managing credit risk for individual customers and exposure for corporate and sovereign lending.
