Job Description

To plan, direct, integrate, and coordinate the strategic activities of bulk and retail water supply operations in order to deliver water in the required quantity and quality. To optimally plan, life-circle manage, maintain and execute all maintenance of infrastructure both proactively and reactively through rehabilitation and development. Provide strategic leadership and oversee operational activities across all the Business Units to ensure they are aligned to meet the organization’s strategic objectives and are integrated so that a single, complimentary effort is achieved. To provide direction in matters relating to Security, Risk, Occupational Health, and Safety in accordance with legislation and corporate policies to enable a safe and conducive working environment for all NamWater employees. To contribute towards the development of the corporate strategy, ensuring an integrated and coordinated approach to operations management.

Minimum Requirements

Relevant Honor’s degree in Science or Engineering related to the Water Industry/Post-graduate qualification

12 years experience in the management of an Operations/Water Supply division of which 5 years at the Senior Management level.

Experience in successfully leading teams of people in large corporate environments.
