The Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) is a commercial public enterprise, mandated under the Namibia Wildlife Resorts Company Act (Act 3 of 1998), to operate inside the protected areas (National Parks) of Namibia to provide tourism-related services and promote the safer environmental protection activities.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) is seeking an experienced, results-driven, and visionary Chief Operations Officer (COO) to lead and oversee the organisations Operations Department. The successful incumbent will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence and delivering world-class guest experiences across all NWR resorts and hospitality facilities located within Namibia’s National Parks.
As a member of the Executive Management Team, the COO will provide strategic leadership, drive operational performance, enhance profitability, and champion service excellence throughout the organisation. The position requires extensive travel to NWR resorts and facilities as operational requirements dictate.
The Chief Operations Officer reports directly to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all NWR resort operations to ensure operational efficiency, service excellence and sustainable profitability.

Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management or Business Administration, Operations Management or a related field at NQF level 9;
- At least seven (7) years of work experience in strategic operations leadership role preferably in the hospitality and tourism industry, of which 5 years should be served at mid-level managerial to senior management levels;
- Valid driver’s license (Code B) is must have.
- Candidates with a Master of Business Administration backed by strong technical understanding and work experience in a senior operational role within the hospitality industry (hotel group, resort, or restaurant group) would serve as the advantage.
- Strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Proven leadership ability to manage multi-unit operations and drive revenue;
- Demonstrate strong competency in operations planning, human capital management, resources deployment and quality management principles.
