We are looking for an experienced and qualified Chief
Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee the company’s overall
financial management and statutory reporting. Reporting
to the Managing Director, and leading a substantial staff
compliment, the CFO shall be a key member of senior
management and will be responsible for providing a
framework for sound financial management within the
organisation as well as provide strategic financial
leadership. Accountable for the overall financial role within
the company, the ideal candidate will be a strong-willed
and self-motivated leader, able to operate in a complex
operating environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for annual financial statements, and ensure
statutory reporting within set deadlines, adherence to
relevant legislation and interaction with stakeholders –
auditors, financiers and tax authorities.
• Integrate sound financial management by ensuring
optimal cost controls, adherence to budgets and
implementing effective cash flow management
practices throughout the company.
• Ensure going concern status and financial
sustainability of the company.
• Asset management
• Develop and analyse budgets versus actual results
and ensure that it is in line with the financial objectives
of the company.
• Oversee the overall company financial results and
performance of the company as well as analyse and
provide trends and data.
• Influence business decisions by providing accurate
and reliable financial information and statistics.
• Oversee, guide, lead and motivate the Finance
Department.
EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
• Qualified Chartered Accountant
• Proven experience of at least eight (8) years as a
Chartered Accountant, of which five (5) years should
be in a senior leadership role.
• Comprehensive and extensive knowledge of IFRS
and tax knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail, highly self-motivated, and able to
meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
