CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER – Namibia Plastics and Packaging Distributors (Pty) Ltd

VACANCY: 

An opportunity exists for interested and qualified candidates to apply for the mentioned position at Namibia Plastics and Packaging Distributors (Pty) Ltd. in Windhoek.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The chief financial officer will hold the top financial position in the organization. Responsibilities will include tracking cash flow, financial planning, analyzing the company’s financial strengths, and weaknesses, and proposing strategic directions.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks;
Perform regular financial analysis;
Develop budgets that meet the requirements of company departments;
Establish targets and manage all accounting and finance employees including management accountants and internal auditors;
Supervise all audit and internal control processes;
Prepare detailed reports on the company’s financial performance;
Guarantee compliance with financial laws and guidelines;
Recognize patterns in company spending, and revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas;
Review financial costing models;
Manage the procurement and transport departments;
Coordinate with external financial entities on behalf of the company.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The chartered accountant or B.Com Hons. with Articles;
At least 10 years of financial management experience;
At least 10 years of operating at an executive management level;
Operational financial management experience, with a strong focus on strategic management;
Good IT and software skills;
Adequate risk management experience;
Ability to handle pressure, take ownership and accountability and drive good commercial outcomes with the managing executive;
Great business acumen and general knowledge of business outside of the financial sphere;
Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but not a requirement.
